Spring Day & Pairing Day – May 2023

Vlassides Winery organized a special event at its premises, for two consecutive days, to welcome spring and thank its customers, as well as its partners, for all the love they show to its wines and for their contribution to the promotion of good Cypriot wine.

The first event was titled “Spring Day at Vlassides Winery” and it took place during the weekend of May 13th and 14th. This was an Open House event, during which the general public had the opportunity to spend a pleasant spring day next to the lush vineyards of the winery, tasting wine for free, along with delicious treats. At the same time, guided tours took place of the winemaking areas by the winery’s hosts, and artistic activities were held exclusively for children, by experienced educators.

The second event called “Pairing Day at Vlassides Winery”, which was aimed at wine experts, took place the following days, on Monday the 15th and Tuesday the 16th of May. The large square of the winery hosted many locals who love wine and are involved in the wine industry.

The main contributors to the event were winemaker Sophocles Vlassides, Chris Theofanous, chef of the year 2020, and Sotiris Neophytidis who was awarded as the best sommelier of Cyprus and the Balkans for 2022.

The wines presented by the three contributors in a rare wine and food pairing experience were Artion Vlassides 2017, Oroman Vlassides 2020, Alates 2020, and Eddial 2018.

Red Creative, in collaboration with Ambigram, designed the visual identity of the two events.
