The Results of the 23rd Thessaloniki International Wine & Spirits Competition

 

The 23rd “Thessaloniki International Wine & Spirits Competition”, took place between 14-16 February in Greece. Under the supervision of the President of the Competition Mr. Konstantinos Lazarakis MW, 958 Greek, Cypriot and Brazilian wines were tasted and evaluated by a panel of 26 wine judges.

A total of 249 wineries-distilleries participated in this year’s 23rd event. 78% of the wines and 35% of the spirits that participated in the competition were awarded a medal (Gold medals: 90, Silver medals: 243, Bronze medals: 439). Cyprus contested with 60 samples, earning 47 medals. (Gold medals: 10, Silver medals: 13, Bronze medals: 24)

Vlassides Winery was awarded 6 medals for its 6 entries in the wine competition. (Gold medals: 4, Silver medals: 2).
